The Harrison County spelling bee will be held at North Harrison on February 8th. Registration will start at 12:30 with the spelling bee starting at 1:00. Those participating from North Harrison are: 5th grade Jaci Davis and Jerry Gilpatrick, 6th grade Katelynn Briggs and Rhea-lynn Estrada with Noah Breshears as alternate. The 7th and 8th grade participants have not yet been chosen. Spectators are welcome to attend in the North Harrison Gym.
A great big “Thank You” goes to all who participated in the fall bookfair this year. The fair earned $591.54 in Scholastic Dollars with which we will buy books for the library.

Seven students were chosen to participate in District band at Platte City Saturday December 10. The group rehearsed with many students from several schools all day. The junior high band then performed a concert followed by the high school band.

Preschool and the ECC Center will CLOSE any time the Elementary/High School is closed for inclement weather. You can find out any school closing by signing up for the Farmers Bank Community Connections or by listening to KAAN.
Starting January 1 the Center will have new closing time of 5:00 instead of 5:30. Sorry for the inconven-iences and if you have any

Seniors have Shamrock tumblers for sale for $15.00 each.
As the temperature starts to warm up we are going to try and go outside as much as possible. Please remember our outside time is very limited this time of year. So when the weather is above 32 degrees we will try to go outside for short periods of time. Our playground will be very muddy/wet so please send the following attire: Boots, hat/gloves, winter coat, extra clothes/snow pants.
After pre-school child care, including early out days, is provided through the daycare for $3.00/hour. Prior arrangements must be made for daily after school care, or for just a few days per week. If Stepping Stones does not have arrangements made for your child to go to Daycare the late pick-up ($10.00 for the first 30 minutes and $5.00 per every 15 minutes after the first 30 minutes) fee will be assessed to your account. Please let us know in advance so that we are able to ensure we have enough staff here.
