DO YOU HAVE A REAL LIFE TIDBIT OR A SAYING? Let me know-LOIS FOSTER HIRT [[]

NOTE: The Candy Crunch game on my Ipad at 1 point said “You Got Help (Showed a picture of a smiling TOOTH FAIRY) The Tooth Fairy is feeling happy today & helped you pass to the next episode.”

From the Smithsonian Magazine-Dental Giants-Sizing up the fangs of saber-toothed cats-Adaptation-Did you know that there was one called SMILODON FATALIS, “the fearsome feline that roamed the Americas as recently as 11,000 years ago.” Paleontologist Robert Feraneo mapped its teething timeline. “Smilodon died out along with its supersized prey at the end of the last ice age. Suddenly, 7-inch-long teeth were overkill.”

(I haven’t read this yet. From the L.A.TImes) THE STORY OF MY TEETH-ValteriaLuiselli, translated by Christina MacSweeney-“A story wrapped up in lies. Real & imagined collide in Valeria Luiselli’s toothy tale of a man called Highway. The Story of My Teeth begins with Gustavo Sanchez Sanchez, a.k.a. Highway, who lives on Disneylandia a real street in Ecatelpec, an industrial suburb of Mexico City. Highway sets out to straight-forwardly tell the story of his teeth, which becomes the story of his life.” He goes from a security guard to a now-retired auctioneer. “Highway believes the auctioneer’s highest art is to craft talks that hear away from the truth. He holds an auction to benefit the local church, an auction centered on his titular teeth. As he auctions them off-a pile of teeth removed from his own mouth- he invents fantastical provenances connecting them to his favorite writers. “I can assure you that this is 1 of Petrarch’s teeth,” he says, referencing the Italian Renaissance scholar. One irrefutable proof is the fact that it is an exact reflection of his character….Mr. Petrarch had a choleric nature, keen intelligence, & a weakness for sensual pleasures; he was hornier than a goat, & its easy to tell by just 1 look at the length of this incisor.”

(Note: I have not seen this new documentary. From the L.A. Times THE ENVELOPE INDEPENDENT-EVIDENCE OF HARM (Do No Harm, LLC/Ministry Machine Films There was a free screening on October 22, 2015, which I couldn’t make. Thanks to Barbara Sommer, RDH, for sending me this article.)) The page shows of picture of a little boy with his hands crossed over his mouth, & underneath the picture MERCURY DENTAL FILLNGS DESTROY HEALTH & THE ENVIRONMENT. From the filmmakers: “Evidence of Harm” chronicles the lives of 3 ordinary Americans who become reluctant health advocates after suffering from the devastating effects of hazardous mercury vapors generated during routine dental procedures. The film presents a haunting portrait of a dental industry all too willing to trun a blind eye to science while placing profits & politics ahead of the 120 million Americans currently implanted with toxic mercury amalgam dental fillings.”

MACDEATH-Cindy Brown-Newest/first in the Ivy Meadows series taking place in Phoenix. Ivy helps her uncle in his detective agency while being an actress. MACBETH is being put on with a circus-theme. Ivy is an acrobatic witch. Everyone associated with the play even those not, are warned not to say MACBETH out loud because of the curse-something will happen if you do. Is it because of the curse that on opening night 1cast member dies?
