Suggestions on how to help your child be a better speller:

-Write the words leaving out letters and let the student put correct letters in the blank.

-March and spell the words.

-Write the words 2 times each, spelling them aloud as they write.

-Write the word in a sentence and have the student pick out the spelling word.

Suggestions on how to help your child read:

-Read the story to your child then have them read it to you.

-Talk about the pictures

-Ask questions: Who is the story about, What are they doing? Where does this story take place?

-Make sure to read each night.

-Read favorite stories over and over.
