It is expected that persons applying to The Curator/Critic’s Studio will be professionals. To establish your eligibility for this opportunity, please demonstrate to us that you can satisfy at least three of the following criteria.

I have curatedan exhibition or event in a recognised art gallery orexhibition venueor for an off-site public location.

I have curated education events, symposia or other art events in the public realm.

I have been selected to participate in peer selection panels by an arts funding or commissioning body.

I hold a degree or diploma from a third level institution with a qualification in a relevant discipline

I have been awarded a bursary, residency, prize or grant by the Arts Council or other art-funding body (excluding any such award for students).

My critical writingshave been published by an art journal or periodical in Irelandand/or internationally.

APPLICATION

This application form should be used to apply for The Curator/Art Critic’s Studio ONLY. All material should be clearly marked with the applicant's name to prevent delays when being returned.

CV

Please enclose 4 copies of your current CV. There is no need to use the CV covers.

STILL IMAGES:

Slides, Photographs, Laser prints:Please ensure that your name is clearly marked on all visuals submitted with your application. We will accept a maximum of eightimages. If more than eight are submitted we will select only the first eight to view.

CD's & DVD'S

Please ensure that any material submitted on CD or DVD is formatted to be viewed on a PC. No more than eight images should be submitted on a CD or DVD. Where more than eight images are submitted the panel will only view the first eight images. Sound or video work on CD or DVD should be for a duration of 3-5 minutes only.

VIDEO
Videos submitted should be marked with the applicant's name and the duration of the video. Please note that as the panel must view a large number of videos we can only view 3-5 mins of each. Please ensure that your video is set-up to play at your selected 5 minutes. Master copies should not be submitted.

SAE

A stamped addressed envelope MUST enclosed with your application. Please ensure that the envelope you use has sufficient postage and is large enough to hold the materials to be returned. Temple Bar Gallery and Studios will not hold on to any supporting documentation or folders belonging to applicants. We recommend that all applicants use padded envelopes when submitting their work for its safe return.

PROCESSING FEE

A fee of €20is required to process applications and covers two applications made by an artist. The fee is payable by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made out to The Temple Bar Gallery and Studios.
