OBJECTIVES

The 12th anniversary of the International Symposium on Eco-Materials Processing and Design (ISEPD2011) will be held in the EMPRESS HOTEL CHIANG MAI, Thailand on January 8-11, 2011. Last year the conference attracted over 400 attendees and its impact has reverberated significantly across a variety of fields with materials technology and environmental problem coverage. Given the special nature of ISEPD2011, we are working towards an event that will reflect on the current status of eco-materials studies, including their process and design.

The topics of the symposium include, but are not limited to, the following.

A. Materials for environment preservation, energy conservation and new energy (solar cell, fuel cell, hydrogen storage, and hydrogen evolution)

B. Materials processing technologies for reduction of environmental impact

C.  Eco-materials processing and design

D.  High performance materials including nano-materials for the environment

E. Hybrid materials and composites for ECO society

F. Photocatalysis for a better environment and clean energy

G.  Dye-sensitized solar cells for the utilization of solar energy

H.  Bio-inspired materials for a better life and other novel materials

I.  Porous materials

J. Synthesis and properties of semiconducting materials and their related areas
