Career

Johan Edfors is a Swedish professional golfer who plays primarily on the European Tour. He turned professional in 1997, spent several years playing the second tier Challenge Tour, and achieved to make the top hundred on the European Tour Order of Merit in 2003, when he won twice and topped the Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

In 2006, Edfors achieved a maiden European Tour win at the TCL Classic and quickly followed up by winning the more prestigious Quinn Direct British Masters and the Scottish Open. His three victories took him into the top 50 of the Official World Gold Rankings in July 2006 and he finished the year placed tenth on the European Tour Order of Merit. As such, he became the first QualifyingSchool graduate to win three times in the following season.

Season 2008 saw Edfors attain consistency by finishing in the top ten on five occasions. He showed enormous potential when he topped the 2003 Challenge Tour Rankings having secured nine top ten finishes on the Challenge Tour - including two victories. In 2005, Edfors returned to the Challenge Tour, finishing 45th on the Rankings before winning his place on Tour at the QualifyingSchool – Final Stage.

Edfors is known for being a big hitter averaging over 300 yards.
