LATE ASSIGNMENTS

Assignments are designed to help students learn new topics. Incomplete assignments will decrease both marks and learning. Late work may not be submitted for marks after marked work has been given back to students.

TARDINESS

Every student has the right to a non-disruptive learning environment Therefore, in keeping with this very important policy; students should come to class on time and prepared to learn. Students who are late by ten minutes or more will be assigned an unexcused absence.

ABSENCES

► EXCUSED ABSENCES:

Quizzes or tests will be written on the FIRST day you return to school, outside of class time, unlessPRIOR arrangements have been made with the teacher. It is up to the STUDENT to makearrangements with the teacher to make up for any missed work.

► UNEXCUSED ABSENCES:

Missed labs, quizzes and tests will receive a grade of ZERO and can NOT be made up.

COPYING AND CHEATING

Students copying exams, tests, quizzes, labs or assignments will receive an automatic ZERO. Students who copy or cheat are ineligible to receive any academic awards.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

It is expected that students will respect themselves, each other, the teacher, and school materials.

Students must have the proper classroom equipment with them at all times. This includes:

• abinder

• notes booklet for the current unit

• a pen and a pencil, highlighter

• a set of pencil crayons
