Part-Time Client Care Team Member
The Longmont Humane Society is currently accepting applications for a part-time Client Care Team Member to work approximately 20 hours per week. The Client Care Team Member is responsible for quality customer service for adoptions, reclaims, surrenders and all client interactions at the shelter. The shifts for this position are: Thursdays 1 PM – 6 PM, Fridays 9 AM – 6:30 PM, and Sundays 11 AM – 6 PM. Candidates must be able to make a long-term commitment to this schedule (this is not a seasonal position) and have the flexibility to pick up additional shifts to cover for teammates when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provides a friendly, welcoming environment for all clients.
· Answers telephone inquiries and routes calls as appropriate.
· Serves as a resource to the general public for animal behavior problems, wildlife issues, responsible pet care, citizen complaints, and other.
· Facilitates and promotes adoptions.
· Counsels interested parties about available animals.
· Educates adopters about proper animal care.
· Reviews lost and found reports and contacts owners and/or appropriate shelters to aid in returning stray animals to their owners.
· Facilitates proper documentation for the intake of animals.
Job Qualifications:
· At least 1 year of customer service experience.
· Experience with a computer database and the ability to learn things quickly..
· Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Outstanding customer service skills, both in person and on the phone.
· Ability to maintain composure and attention to detail under pressure.
Working Conditions:
· Office and animal shelter environment.
· Potential exposure to high noise levels and zoonotic diseases.
· Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
· Frequent use of computer and telephone.
