Dave Lee
French Horns and Wagner Tubas – Black Lights (track12)
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to work alongside many finemusicians. My guest on this album is Dave Lee, who is also a stalwart of“The Michael Nyman Band”. We’ve played in each others’ company on numerousoccasions, including many Andrew Lloyd Webber projects, numerous films and albums. I was honoured to appear on Dave’s solo album “Under The Influence”
(
Marc Findon
This is the second time I have issued a CD including Marcs’ work. His Flute Quintet “Serpent Dance”, appears on my first album, “Tracked”.
Black Lights’ was written using material derived from the number row: 7-7-5. taken from
the date of the London terror attacks in 2005.
Once again my appreciation to Sarah Haram for the loan of Simon (andalso her tambourine). To Chris Gunning, Nick Glennie-Smith, Michael Nyman, Garry & Alison Bell, Mark Ventress & Joanne Roberts (Young’s) thanks for all your help.
With love and thanks for unfaltering support to my wife Julia andsons Marc & Rob.
