How to Pay a Fine Online using eCommerce

You can pay your fine online using your Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card or PayPal account. Here’s how.

  1. Go to the Catalogue page and log into your account by clicking on My Library Account in the top right corner.
  2. On the My Account login form, type in your name, the barcode number on your library card and click on LOGIN.
  3. The search page for the Catalogue appears and you’ll see your name at the top indicating that you are now logged in. The exclamation mark has appeared indicating you have fines. Click on My Account to see details for your record.
  4. Click on the line that tells you the fines owing.
  5. A page will appear listing any fines you owe. To pay, click on “Pay Online”
  6. On the Paymentscreen that appears, every fine is selected with the total fines owing at the bottom. You may click on “Go” to pay them all or, if you prefer , you may select which ones you would like to page by clicking on clear all then clicking in the boxes beside each fine to select. As you add checkmarks, the total owing will be calculated at the bottom. In this case, we are only paying the fine for Replacement Card Ecomm eTutorial so that is the only box being ticked.
  7. You are now in the PayPal secure online payment site. Choose to pay with your paypal account if you have one, or with your credit card. To pay with your paypal account, click on Pay with Paypal and enter your information as you do for all your PayPal purchases. To pay with with your credit card, fill in the required information on the screen and click “Pay Now”.
  8. A screen will appear thanking you for your payment. At this time, an email will also be sent to your email account with a receipt confirming payment. To return to your account, click the Return to Catalogue link and ok on the “Your Transaction completed successfully” screen.
  9. Use F5 on your keyboard to refresh your Account fines screen to see the updated information in your account.
