Background

It is recognised that taxi and bus drivers are among the most regular users of the cities road and as such are knowledgeable of the current conditions of our roads. In conjunction with them the Council carries out an annual road conditions survey.

By helping to identify the areas of greatest need and assess the impact of the repairs programme, the results of this consultation will aid the continuing programme of road repairs and planned patching throughout the city during 2012/13.

Consultation

This is the fourth annual consultation to be carried out and was conducted during July and August 2012. The survey was available online and in hard copies distributed to First Bus and Stagecoach staff. This report provides a summary to each of the questions.

In total there were 103 responses. For reporting purposes percentages have been rounded to the nearest whole number. Further analysis of any of the following results is available on request.
