Meeting Started @ 7:05 pm
1. / Minutes:Debbie reported that theMarch minuteswere available on the school website under Senior Celebration tab.
2. / Financial Report:
The financial report was available was filed as read.
Opening balance on 9/1/2013 was $676.32. Ending balance as of 04/06/2014 is $7,181.58.
Several expenses for pending events (Yeti raffle, Quarter Auction, Movie Night, Skeet Shoot and Golf Tournment)
3. / Fundraising Upcoming:
Quarter auction:
  • Quarter auction was February 27th.
  • Everyone in attendance enjoyed the event.
  • Total raised was $1,000 plus concessions that had not been deposited yet.
Donation Letters:
  • Debbie Hale reported that letters have been mailed to local businesses.
  • Will be following up with those that have donated in the past.
Rummage Sale:
  • Event will be on April 5th at Wayside from 8 AM - 2 PM.
  • It was very cold and windy but did raise $500.
  • Several people contact Amy that were not able to get donations to Wayside
  • Will do 2nd garage sale April 12th 8 AM – 2 PM at Elkins Hardware on 287.
  • Will also be selling flats of flowers.
Golf Tournment:
  • Sarah Carter, , is the chair.
  • Event will be April 27th at The Resort.
  • Fee is $75 per person for golf and meal.Currently 9 teams are signed up. Still need more players.
  • Sarah reported that the event is ready and silent auction almost done.From comments last year the meal and silent auction will be held after the event.
  • Tagg Team will do shirts and banners.
  • Will need student volunteers.
  • Currently $2,700 in sponsorship and a couple more pending.
  • Volunteer training will be on April 19th at The Resort.

4. / Fundraising Reports Ongoing:
Albertson’s cards:
  • Amy has more cards.
  • Will have them available at events to hand out.
  • Had those present take some to pass out.
  • Total amount deposited was $134.13.
Flamingo Flocking:
  • Weather has slowed down the moving of the flocks.
  • Spread sheet being maintained to track their visits.
  • Flock to stay at location 24 -36 hours.
  • Student volunteer hours are to be sent to Sr Celebration email.
  • An additional flock has appeared at Amy’s door will start using them too.
Go Kart Ticket Sale:
  • The owners that donated it felt that due to weather not enough tickets were sold.
  • Committee would like to extend until April 27th and announce winner at the golf tournament.
  • Committee felt that owners of outstanding tickets needed to be contacted.
  • At this time no feed back from Pure Gold. Tickets are still being sold.

5. / Tentative New Fundraising:
Movie Night:
  • Ronda Collier has set date for May 9th and purchased rights to show "Frozen".
  • Tickets will be $5 per adult and $3 perstudent.
  • Flyer can be sent out through elementary school. 1st Class Mail is doing the flyer.
  • Ronda has received several donations to cover her costs.
Skeet Shoot:
  • Emily McKenney has set event for April 18th at Fossil Point in Decatur.
  • Event will start with lunch at noon and end with awards at 4:30
  • Currently 7 teams signed up can take up to 12 teams.
  • There will be a raffle for a Yeti Cooler. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $20.
Go Fund Me:
  • Amy Moody is still available.
New Possibilities:
  • Poppy's Grill
  • Volleyball tournament
  • 5k/fun run
  • Invitation House
  • Car Show

6. / Event Discussion:
Those in attendance felt that needed to start meeting every Monday regarding event planning, prizes and donations.Debbie will send out email regarding Monday’s meeting.
It will be at 7:00pm Boswell HS – Room A162.
