Trade Goods & Demonstrations Battle/Skirmish Benjamin Franklin Friday is kid’s day from 9-2. No driving through main gate from 9-2. 450+ 5th graders.
To demonstrate on kid’s day, please sign sheet at main gate by 3 pm Thursday, Aug. 17th.
Take 1-74 to Rt. 34 west. Take the Alpha exit Rt. 150 north to N. Lake Storey Rd. Follow the Heritage Days signs. For GPS use (1572 Mechan Drive). There are signs designating civil war camp and rendezvous camp. The fee is $20 for regular campers or $35 for traders in the rendezvous encampment. Campers may have goods on one blanket, 6 points or less. PRE-1840 PERIOD ITEMS ONLY. Pre-registration and fees are REQUIRED before Aug. 4th if you are arriving for early setup. Gates open Wednesday, August 16th at 8 am. Must be in cars in arrival order at 7:30 am. If not pre- registered, you will have to wait in designated area until after 9 am. No admittance to site until fee is paid and ribbon/bag received. Send checks payable to Galesburg Heritage Days, P.O. Box 748, Galesburg, IL 61402-0748. To participate in competition events, you must be registered. All pets must be kept on a leash, 10-ft. or less. Lodges and attire are required to be period correct. Ice for sale on site.
