WINTER JUST GOT WARMER:
Kopparberg introduces warm Spiced Apple ciderin the off-trade following Facebook appealfrom fans
Swedish fruit cider brand, Kopparberg, is hoping to thaw the icy conditions predicted for this winter with the launch of a new flavour designed to be enjoyed warm or chilled. Kopparberg Spiced Apple ciderblends the brand’s apple cider with cinnamon and winter spices to create a perfect seasonal drink, now available in Tesco and ASDA for a limited period.
All Kopparberg cider is brewed in the town of Kopparberg in Sweden – a country that knows a thing or two about cold winters – and this new blend was developed following a frenzy of requests from Kopparberg fans on social media for a winter variety of Kopparberg that can be served warm.
Rob Calder, Head of Marketing at Kopparberg, said:
“We have a very vocal social media community that has repeatedly asked us to produce a special blend of Kopparberg to serve warm during the winter, and Spiced Apple is a direct result of that. People often think of cider as a summer drink, but the demand for cider in the colder months is growing as people retreat indoors to defrost in the evenings.”
A modern twist on a winter classic
Kopparberg is encouraging customers to crank up the seasonal scent on its new variant by adding cinnamon, orange peel and a dash of maple syrup at home to create a contemporary alternative to mulled wine.
Kopparberg Spiced Apple is available exclusively at ASDA and Tesco for a limited period only.

What is Kopparberg?
Tucked away in the Swedish countryside, in the small town of Kopparberg, you’ll find a little brewery with unique tastes. Built back in 1882 the Kopparberg Bryggeri, with its traditional red timber falu walls, uses a rare, bubbling source of soft water from the town as the perfect ingredient in our deliciously refreshing fruit ciders. More than 130 years later our brewery remains independent and is today owned by the Bronsman family, and the cider we produce is as uncomplicated as the water in the town: fresh, pure, and very, very refreshing, just the way we like it.
