Hello Pam. Thank you for joining us today.

Hello everybody. It is nice to see your smiling faces. I will pretend I can see them and you are jumping up and down pretty excited. I never like to start these presentations talking about myself, but I want to tell you, you are listening to someone who walks the walk, I have been doing Social Media before it was ever called Social Media, I have spent 15+ years, in corporate America, we have a massive audience across the social web, it is a community that we have been investing in for years, with valuable content.

We have a podcast available to you, available for over 230 episodes, for the content on how we optimize conversion funnels and the list goes on. Let's go ahead and take in, in --

Let's go ahead and dig in to today. At least 90% of you have heard of Facebook, bottom line Facebook provides as the platform for us to connect with people. For us to connect our business with people. We obviously all do that in a human level as well. Through pages, paper , messaging app, the stories, every day we wake up, and there is a new way that Facebook is introducing to us , we can connect with our audiences, the Facebook advertising platform is incredible if you know how to properly use it, it helps people discover your business. This is a great way if you are new to understanding Facebook for business, this is a platform, the advertising piece of that is helping them know you exist on that platform. Very similar if you are marketing to a local market, if you have a local small business, you have a business people come into, you have people, you will need them to discover you as a business, you may do that through other areas, chambers of commerce, and other places. How do we use Facebook collects -- Facebook? This gives us incredible opportunities to brand show storytelling, why we are doing what we are doing, why they will be able to be connected to us and want to be a part of the community that we are building.

Testimonials, this is a great place to showcase reviews and all of the rating stands as a part of your community and business whether they are buying from you are not, we can do live video, you have the opportunity not only to do stories which are short snippets of irritable -- Snippets of video and images.

We can do a live video, and webinar format anybody can join who is a part of your community. You can build your network, establish your community, and grow your community. You can embrace evangelists, advocates, people who love your brand, what I always call give them the social love and scratch their back, we can share content to consume, on blogs or video, audio that we can share, onto Facebook to get a readership for viewership of the content, we can establish thought leadership.

No matter what size of your business you need to be establishing yourself as the go to person for whatever it is that you do. If you are a salon or stylus, or Jim or a CrossFit box, financial advisor, you want to be the go to person, even inside of a local market, Facebook can help you establish the thought leadership.

And also influencing marketing, to tap into the community of other people and their community.

It enables us to tap into people who already have the community, who are ready have influence over people that you would like to connect to with your business.

So how big is the audience of Facebook? Let's talk about this. On Facebook. We have 1.2 3 billion daily action users, and 1.1 million mobile users.

If you are wanting to do business and grow your business utilizing Facebook, you need to know the majority of the people are on mobile, your website your blog needs to be mobile friendly. You need to understand

they are accessing your website, and yourselves farm from -- Accessing your website , from a mobile form. > You can get to all kinds of information and it will tell you more about the demographics, the statistics on Facebook which is important for you to understand, he can give us a target reach utilizing safe advertising and target specific Already in this, we can target audiences and get deep engagement, to establish relationships, we can have proven results, there is no doubt , Facebook is already providing many businesses with value, Facebook understand the mobile customer, it is providing us a platform, that we need to connect with our audience and our communities, our dream clients in a human way. It is a data driven methodology. This is what I love about Facebook more than anything, they are both art and science. Not only do they understand the art of human connecting, why Mark Zucker Berg started in the first or in the first place. -- Zucker Berg --

zuckerberg Started this.

-- The five pillars. It is important that you just do not jump on Facebook blasting things I wonder why it is not working, you will have to be in a continuous cycle of learning, the only guarantee we have in general is that it's going to change, everything we know can be difficult and different to wheeze for now -- Everything we know can be different to weeks from now. Even if this is five minutes a day spent time learning about the platform. We are going to architect. We are going to build and design a winning platform, we're not just throwing it together, not just social spaghetti at the wall, I want you to think of your self as an architect, next we are going to connect, this is how we are going to create content that is audience based. Focused on knowing our audience and how we can connect with them. Then we want to make sure we are humanizing that an engaging, investing time and resource. In working with our audiences. Next we have served. That we are caring in every single brand touch, and that we are serving communities and as individuals. Last we optimize. We tweak everything we do, we want to make sure that we are doing it continuously better. > Only 3 to 5% of the people that like your Facebook page are going to come back to actually come back to visit that page. This is the big misunderstanding, they think I can just launch a Facebook page. Once they like the page, they are going to see my content.

That is actually not true, we have no guarantee of reaching our ideal customer on any medium. I love this picture of the dog care, he really wants that bone.

If he has an owner getting ready to slip his nose and Drabick, this is how we are in general, we can put the best content out there, in reality, we have no guarantees that it is our ideal customer which will see us, this is why you need to invest time every week in understanding everything you can about social networks and how they work we work with hundreds of small businesses and the amount that it takes, I wish I can tell you the fast track, you will just get there overnight, but the truth is, if you want to succeed you have to roll up your sleeves and do the homework. I will give you advice on where to go

you need to make sure that you understand the foundational components of Facebook. This includes all of the different Facebook apps that this exists , they are changing on a daily basis, make sure you are understanding personal pages of business pages, we will talk about that, no your own personal privacy settings and how you have them set up that you are optimizing your own personal profile. Understand how your Facebook page template and what template you are using maybe you don't know that you can have different types of page templates, I will give you resource that you can utilize to help you pick the right template, newsfeed, what is that and how it is working where you log into Facebook and you are seeing your newsfeed. You create content that you want people to be able to see. Your timeline. This is considered the timeline of the post that you are posting on your page on your personal profile, if you have instant messenger, you want to understand that, trending content, every day there is trenching -- Trending content you can see if that is of use to your audience, posts, for the status updates, page light -- Like , reactions, verify page setting it up as a verify page, tapping into the Facebook group, these are incredible things that are happening, utilizing the features in the Facebook photos and search, there are no possible ways I can teach you all these things in 45 minutes. We do have an Academy where we teach all these things and more that you will need to dig in and understand these things really are just the basics of Facebook, if you are to do the double-click you would spend a week double , just digging in each week if you are starting to engage as a business on Facebook it is a violation for you to use a personal profile as a business page, you can promote your page on your personal profile, we can sing Facebook -- We have seen Facebook takedown personal profiles that are using this as a business. You want to make sure if you are setting yourself up as a business that you are setting it up as official business, and can you have friends, if you can have friends on the page it means that your personal profile not a business page. When people are wanting to connect with you, if they are doing that and ask you to be a friend, you should not accept that friend request, you are opening it up to security issues, you never know who is behind that personal page when it is a business.

When should you use a personal profile, it is helpful for you it will get interesting if we have logos, and as a personal profile, that is one of the best ways to connect in Facebook groups, you can connect with business contacts personally, you want to connect with other humans you will need to connect with personal profile, and other humans, you can access multiple business pages that you run, you do not want to talk about business on your personal page, on your Facebook business page you can share all kinds of types of information on your business and industry, you will be helped to support for your customers, you will be helped promote special offerings campaigns, share business success. If you take people along on your journey things that are good and bad, when you succeed a like to celebrate those things, they are a part of what has built you, do not always want to be how wonderful you are in promotions, build a community, that you are offering content of value every single day to your audience. You can advertise your business, we can utilize advertising and tap into the power of the network on Facebook.

Now architect. I want you to talk now about the world and the word architect, you need to architect your Facebook page, build a winning platform whatever social networks you like to hang on , you are going to reap what you sow. However you invest in relationships, and content to help people solve problems, this is how much you will give back the more you give the more you will get out of Facebook what are the goals that you have will this help you better serve your customers, connect with other local businesses? Nurture relationships only you know what those goals are your competition may have different goals and objectives, this is big objectives they look over the fence, versus building their own plan, stay on your side of the fence and answer these questions, what do you want to achieve, what does success look like.

How will your business look different six months for now. Because you put focus effort in today.

I want you to answer that question. How will you better differentiate yourself, if it is no longer differentiated to be on Facebook, how will you better differentiate your business, not just differentiate your Facebook page. Facebook needs to integrate into your business not your business integrate into Facebook, huge difference

there.

How are you going to empower and serve your customers? How can you increase your internal business efficiencies, maybe it can help you increase your [Indiscernible], or even retention depending on what your business is. It is very important that you understand the difference between a strategy, a plan, and tactics. You will see these words and hear these words about this in the social web. A lot of people get them confused. The strategy is going to be your plan and your framework. This will help you achieve your goals. You should not even think about visual marketing tools you will use until you have a strategy. You need to know what your goal is, you are wasting your time if you going after the tactics first. What are your goings what are you doing what and why. What you going to do within that plan? Tactics are going to tell you how you're going to execute the plan that support your strategy. The key supporting your strategy. You want to make sure your specific actions achieve your goals. If you leave this with a not today -- You leave this webinar today, you love that Facebook template, but I don't want you to invest time in there and less you have identified the reason -- I do not want you to invest time there until you have it reason -- A reason identified.

Unless you know why you are going there, don't go there.
