Directions to the Rose Palace: On IH 10, approximately 5 miles north of FM 1604 (Anderson Loop), take the Boerne Stage Rd. exit. If traveling west, use exit #551 Boerne State Rd/Leon Springs. If traveling east, use exit #550 Ralph Fair Rd/Boerne Stage Rd. (Please note: if you are traveling east on IH 10, do NOT take exit #543 Boerne Stage Rd/Cascade Caverns Rd.) After exiting the freeway, take Boerne Stage Rd west 3.1 miles.
Entry Requirements: Complete copy of registration papers (front/back) must be sent with entries along with copies of youth/amateur cards and entry fee check. Negative Coggins dated within (1) year of the show is required; out of state horses will also need a health certificate dated within 45 days of the show.

Pre-entries must be postmarked by May 1, 2017. Submit check with entry forms. Be sure to carefully review your registration paperwork to ensure it is correct (i.e. stallion/gelding status). When entering classes during the show, pay for the class in the show office prior to the class.
Showing from trailers will be permitted provided the $20.00 grounds fee per horse is paid. NO HORSE shall remain in a trailer overnight.
Check In: Check in will begin at 2:00pm May 11, 2017. Until 2:00 staff are setting up the show facility.
Show Hours: Classes begin at 9:00a.m. both Friday and Saturday. Lunch and dinner breaks will be announced as warranted.
Measurement Times: Measuring will begin on Thursday at 2:00p.m., and then again Friday and Saturday at 8:00a.m. The steward will not be available during Jumper, Hunter, Liberty or Obstacle classes.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Gate: There will be a 2 minute gate rule that will be strictly enforced. The 2 minute timing shall start from the time that the last horse enters the ring. A 5 minute gate hold may be granted if requested at the gate at least 5 classes prior to the tack change.
Youth requirements: It is required that all youth exhibitors must wear protective headgear (Certified ASTM/SEI) in Roadster and Under Saddle Classes. Head gear harness must be secured and properly fitted. Any exhibitor may wear protective headgear (Certified ASTM/SEI) in any division or class without penalty from the judge.
Add/Scratch Class Policy: Added entries will be accepted up to 2 classes prior to class entered. All adds must go through the show manager (office) and not at the gate with the gatekeeper. No refunds will be given on any scratched classes but you can add a class with the same fee amount (sub open class for open class, youth class for youth class, etc.)

Insufficient Check: Show management will charge a $50.00 return check fee plus any fees that are applied by their bank to the insufficient check. Exhibitor will be notified of insufficient check and will be required to make restitution by money order or cashier’s check. If not attended to in the time allotted by show management, then show management will adhere to the rules of the ASPC/AMHR.
Grade Classes: Open to unregistered horses 14.2 H and under. Unregistered horses must have a negative Coggins. A health certificate is also required for out of state horses. Unregistered horses CANNOT be entered into classes not specified as “Grade Class” (with the exception of Pet Mini). Unregistered horses do not qualify for any AMHR points or awards.
NOTE: ALL Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs caught running loose will be impounded and owners will be responsible for all fees assessed. Any dog not on a leash will be apprehended and a $200.00 fine will be assessed.
Pet Mini for Youth Age 7 & Under
Horses 38” & Under (Do not need to be registered. A negative Coggins is required for all horses and a health certificate is required for out of state horses)
NO Stallions.
These are classes open for children 7 & under to show their horse.
An Adult may accompany the child in the ring. These classes will be on Saturday during lunch.
Be sure to check in and pay all fees prior to 11:00am Saturday morning. Classes are non-rated and only one judge will judge the classes. Pet mini lead line requires all riders to wear a protective helmet, (Certified ASTM/SEI).
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Pet Mini Leadline: Horses ridden by exhibitor led by an adult 18 years or older at a walk both ways around the ring.
Pet Mini Horsemanship: Show in hand at a walk, trot and stand, judged on the child’s ability to show the horse.
Pet Mini Trail: Show in hand, with some jogging, completing a pattern of three obstacles, judged on an accuracy of pattern.
Pet Mini Cones Race: In hand completing a pattern around the cones configured like a rodeo barrel race. Judged on accuracy of pattern and time.
