WE NEED YARN!The Craft and Laugh group is planning to yarn-bomb the library during the month of March. We could use some of your stash. Just bring any extra yarn you have during February and join us in making the library more colorful during March.
2017 Belmont Reading Challenge news
The Library staff is tracking their reading too!
Sarah is in the lead, having crossed off six from her list already. Eileen has managed three, including the e-book challenge. We’re all working on finding books that qualify for the challenge that are already in the library collection. Katherine has put together multiple book lists to satisfy the romance-readers, and other staff members have added lists for books set in New Hampshire, or based on a fairy tale.
You can use one book to cross off multiple categories if you want. Or you can ratchet up the difficulty by using a book for only one category.
Novelist, the readers’ database the library subscribes to, can lead you in the right direction as well. It offers recommendations based on appeal factors: looking for a character-driven literary fiction or a fast-paced thriller? It’s all there! The staff will be happy to show you how it works.
