Pavilion Rules / Notes

You are required to carefully read the following Rules and Notes and sign at the bottom of this page. This signed form must be provided with the signed application and payment. In Addition after reading the notes and rules please assure that if you are unfamiliar with Pavilion facility that a pre-visit is recommended prior to signing the application & rules notes that are documented below.

Rules:

1.  The Pavilion is only rented during April, May, September, and October – not between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

2.  There is NO double booking in the same weekend (Friday through Monday) authorized – ONE EVENT ONLY.

3.  This is a public area, folks looking in the windows and strolling by; kids playing are common you can not prevent the general public from looking in and or strolling and or playing by or around any part of the outside pavilion area. It is common practice for the general public to sit on the benches directly outside the Pavilion.

4.  Bicycles are not authorized on the boardwalk 9AM to midnight May 1st through September 15. Other wise, the general public leverages bike riding on the board walk which includes around and in front of the Pavilion.

5.  There is no coned off parking authorized (You may get towed if attempted). There is no secure parking.

6.  The pavilion is generally clean. Avon-By-The-Sea cleans the windows and buffs floors on a monthly basis. There will be no consideration by Avon-By-The-Sea to further clean windows or the floor. It is generally clean and Avon-By-The-Sea will provide it to you in this manner.

7.  There is NO heating or air-condition nor are you authorized to bring in temporary heat or air-conditioning of any type.

8.  Four rectangular tables and 40 chairs will be provided. Any additional tables & chairs are to be provided by the consumer. Tables and chairs must be returned in proper condition or replacement cost will be passed along to consumer.

9.  “No” consideration will be given for Avon-By-The-Sea DPW to accommodate requests for additional tables / chairs. You, the applicant are responsible to plan and obtain personal support needed to manage your activity. Including finding temporary storage for existing tables and chairs if they are not needed.

10.  Maximum capacity will not exceed fire code regulation (not to exceed 100).

11.  Must abide by the noise ordinances at all times.

12.  There is NO Hard alcohol or mixed alcohol drinks authorized. Alcohol permitted is Beer and Wine ONLY.

13.  There are NO alcohol drinks including Beer and / or Wine authorized outside the pavilion area and or hanging out the windows of the pavilion. You will be ticketed if found with Alcohol outside the pavilion.

14.  There is no smoking in the Pavilion.

15.  You must leave the Pavilion as you found it, clean & neat or surcharges will be applied.

16.  You are required to double bag using heavy duty trash bags all garbage. Garbage is to be left outside the Pavilion by Front Door.

17.  You are required to follow all laws, and or Avon-By-The Sea Ordinances / Rules, and rules notes specified in this document

18.  You must complete your clean up by 9:30 AM the following Morning. The cleaning service arrives at 10:00 AM. Avon Recreation reserves the right to request same day clean up, if required.

19.  The bathrooms are PUBLIC restrooms outside the Pavilion. The bathrooms are generally clean. Avon-By-The-Sea will not make any special consideration on additional cleanliness for renter or applicant. They are Public and other residents / public may be using them during your event.

20.  Keys – Keys are to be signed out at the Police Station located at 301 Main Street, and returned accordingly.

21.  Avon-By-The-Sea cannot predict natural disasters and / or bad storms that can result in Damage to the Pavilion Facility. If Pavilion is damaged in any way and / or weather forecasts / predictions deem Pavilion unsafe for use, Avon-By-The-Sea is authorized and will revoke the application for usage and provide applicant with reimbursement. It will be the responsibility of the applicant to find a new facility to host their activity.

22.  It is the applicant’s responsibility to apply for their event accordingly. If applicant requires additional days for set up and take down the applicant must advise at time of application. No consideration will be made to reserve days that are not applied for. Refunds will be made only if cancellation is 14 days or more prior to reservation date.

Notes:

1.  There are public Bathrooms - Only outside the Pavilion, NO bathrooms within the Pavilion.

2.  There is no kitchen, refrigerator, running water or sink in this facility.
