A Retreat of the Board of Trustees of Cowley County Community College and Area Vocational-Technical School was called to order on August 6, 2016, at 8:00am, in the Board of Trustee Conference Room, McAtee Dining Center on the CCCC campus, 206 South Fourth Street, Arkansas City, Kansas.

Work
Session Dr. Rittle shared, with the support of a PowerPoint presentation, the College’s Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Core Values, Strategic Theme, and Strategic Priorities/Plan.
Dr. Rittle discussed with the Board of Trustees the anticipated chief initiatives of the College for the upcoming year.
Dr. Rittle provided an overview of the initiative to expand service in Sumner County following Dr. Rittle’s interactions with community leaders and dignitaries at two Town Hall Meetings in Wellington last week.
Dr. Arnett made a brief statement regarding the interconnectedness that of all factors that keep Cowley moving forward. All parties are working together to advance the College, and he commends all parties for their continued efforts.
Dr. Rittle introduced his presidential vision for the upcoming year. He also recapped what was accomplished this past academic year.
The Board of Trustees and Dr. Rittle discussed the Template for his Annual Presidential Evaluation.
Adjourn-
ment Dennis Shurtz introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution:
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees adjourn from the Board Retreat.
The Motion was seconded by Ned Graham and was carried.
Bob Juden, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, declared the Retreat adjourned at 10:50am.
