- John suggested catering for 40 people (Based on 20 GOING and 20 INTERESTED on FB).
- Possibility of running a bar tab on the day. (To save money) .
- There’ll be raffle prizes – Max, John and Brett to contact Bicycle Emporium, Sunrise Cycles and Transition cycles respectively to ask for prize contributions.
- John and Brett will provide information regarding Seasons races, Friday Swim/Runs and the season points scoring system and end of season awards at the launch party.
- There will be 2 sandwich platters and 10 pizzas as food for the launch. Cost $310 all up.
- Swim/runs to be held at Pop Dension Park every Friday between October 6th and March 23rd (21 events).
- All will be welcome, members and non-members. The Cost will be $4 per person or $50 for the season for individuals (saving of $34). This will include Timed Race entry, results and points administration, bbq sausages with water/Gatorade (or similar) with plastic cups. Season pass get a tag of some sort (John investigating).
- Families $12 or $100 for season.
- Discuss possible sponsorship with Cherry Str. Sports Club in more detail at next meeting.
- Discuss what we can offer sponsors and what we want in return.
- Bunnings will also be approached for sponsorship – maybe provide items that can be used at events.
- Brett presented an impressive spreadsheet with a provisional points layout system.
- The idea is to have categories where members can accumulate points by competing or helping at events
- Trophies will be awarded at the end of the season
- Max to investigate and order 2 times ‘Perpetual’ Trophies. Budget $400.
- The Racetec timing system was discussed.
- To be used at the swim/run events in conjunction with a handicap system.
- The use of a video camera as a backup was discussed - John to look at prices.
- The signatories for the club bank accounts must be changed. Will be done at the next meeting.
The Ballina council has a free page on there website that we can use for advertising our events. John will fill in the necessary form(s) monthly.
- John suggested revised age group categories for club races. A broader age range will make for more competitors per group.
- To be voted on at the next meeting.
- Need to ask Dave if he will facilitate swim/run training sessions at Lake Ainsworth on Tuesdays and Thursdays and if so put up on calendar.
- Max also suggested Mondays and Wednesdays at 16:30 for running.
