Organizing Your Date book
Before we start our month, we’ve got to figure out WHEN can work our business.
I’ve found that the best way to do this is by color-coding your date book.
You will need the following colored highlighters:
BLUE- personal life: work, children’s activities, doctor’s appointments, church, family time, etc.
PINK- Mary Kay trainings: conference calls, orientations, trainings, and special events
Orange – If you have another job.
GREEN- Selling appointments where you will be making money
YELLOW- Opinions of the Opportunity with your director
Meetings are Pink/Green/and Yellow because you will sell, get opinions of opportunity and get training when you bring guest.
This method is very helpful and really helps us to manage our time and stay organized. We are also keeping our priorities in order. God, Family, and then Career!!!

Booking
Getting Appointments in your date book You are out of business if you don’t have appointments!
· Make appt. with yourself to book but also use the 10 or 15 minutes here and there to book.
· Get your focus folder
· Call using the booking script. The scripts really do work! Using the booking script takes the pressure off of the other person.
· We have found that there are certain words that you should use when booking appointments.
Hi______, this is Susie, do you have a minute?
I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I am really excited about what I’m doing! I just started teaching skin care with Mary Kay!
As part of my training, I need to do 30 faces in 30 days. I was just calling to see if you would help me out with my training and let me borrow your face? Great!!
Would this week or next week be best for you?
Would during the day or in the evenings be better?
Book the appointment Get date and time in date book. Only after you have a date in the books ask for party.
Would you like some free products? Great!
It takes me just as long to do 1 face as it does to do a few.
If you share your appointment with friends that I don’t know, you can earn lots of free products for helping me network my business! You can even take a shot at earning $100 of free products! How does that sound?
Thanks Susie! Could I drop off a hostess packet tomorrow and go over how you can get the most free products? It’s going to be fun! Thank you so much for your help! I am looking forward to seeing you!
· Always give your customer 2 choices. Don’t just ask her when is good time. You are opening the door for all kinds of reasons why she can’t. (kids, work, etc) Ask, This week or next week, daytime or evening
