News from BES – PTA
Dear Parents, Guardians, Staffs and Educators of “The Brightest Star in the Universe”
I hope you all had a great Thanksgivings!
As I have stated on my first self-introduction email, it takes the support of strong fellow supporters to have a strong leader and community. As you all know our PTA is run by volunteers who have a 9 to 5 jobs and more. However, upon learning about the great needs of our school, many of our school community have signed up to volunteer. There arepeople who are sacrificing more than others and this year will not be any different. The only way we as parents of the Brightest Stars in the Universe, association, school and community can be successful is by working together.
Our first emergency PTA meeting in September was very successful. We were overwhelmed by the number of people who had attended and volunteered to fill important vacant positions. Thank you so very much to all of our volunteers.
Let us keep this level of participation all the time.
Our monthly meeting is held on the first Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is on December 7th, 2010 at 7:00pm at Burtonsville Elementary School in the media center.
Babysitters will be provided free of charge.
At the Dec. 7th meeting, the BES PTA presents a special guest Mr. Chris Jones the Burtonsville Shopping Center developer. He has important news and changes about the Burtonsville Shopping Center that he would like to inform YOU. It is imperative that you make an effort to attend this important meeting.
In addition to our special guest, the PTA will be giving you the first quarter progress report.
