Our mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, wildlife

and habitats for the benefit of humanity and the Earth’s biological diversity.

In support of our conservation mission, Audubon’s expert staff promote awareness of the interrelationship between people, land and wildlife through hands-on environmental education. Audubon’s environmental education programs offer outdoor, hands-on, nature based activities that will bring your science curriculum to life. Our programs effectively blend scientific concepts with literacy, math, history and inquiry to provide an educational and inspirational experience. Each program combines discovery, investigation and outdoor exploration.

You may choose from any of our seasonal topics to compliment your curriculum. Our brochure can be viewed at or you may request a brochure by emailing . We have suggested fall and spring programs that correspond to each grade level, Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade, based on New Mexico science standards, Santa Fe Public School science curriculum, New Mexico Common Core Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. Audubon’s Outdoor Science programs can be used to introduce, reinforce, or wrap up your life science units. With enough lead time, Audubon Educators can customize programs to compliment your classroom teaching, and an Audubon educator may visit your classroom or school via special request.
