Receive “AP Essays in a Nutshell” handout and review.
Review your AP words using the Quizlet app or another method of your choosing. Consider quizzing each other.
Review the AP tone words. These will appear during next week’s review game
Receive The Things They Carried (final novel of the year) along with a background handout. Read before the final exam (May 26). Briefly discuss premise of novel.
Homework: Buy your test prep book and start studying if you haven’t already / 5/5
After school practice exam for English.
Incentive: I will re-assess one essay of your choosing. If you score higher than your first attempt, I will adjust your grade for that essay type in PowerSchool.
Take AP Multiple Choice Assessment, Part 1 (40 minutes) during class
Please note: This is an individual assessment which will count toward your fourth nine weeks grade. The score will be curved based on student performance.

Take AP Multiple Choice Assessment, Part 2 (20 min)
Complete a self-assessment of your timed writings and submit by the end of class.

Comprehensive AP Word Test (60 points)
Homework: Complete third and final rhetorical analysis, Due tomorrow. / 5/8
(AP US Exam)
*Submit third rhetorical analysis on article of choice. If you are taking the AP US exam, please submit this early or after the exam is over.
Most students will not be in class this day. Students will be given time to prepare individually for the AP test and to meet with me regarding writing concerns or areas of weakness.
