Tapescripts of Travelling in Australia
Stephen went to Australia for his father’s birthday. Upon his arrival, he telephoned Uncle Burton about his trip. Listen to the conversation and mark the route on the map. Also drag the plane to scenic spots Stephen visited during his trip to Australia.

Stephen: Hi, Uncle Burton, it’s Stephen speaking.
Burton: Hi, Stephen, what a surprise! Are you in Australia?
Stephen: Yes, I’ve arrived this morning. I’m now stopping with Dad in Melbourne.
Burton: Why didn’t you stop with me in Canberra?
Stephen: Oh, no. Actually, I come all the way to join Daddy’s birthday party this coming Monday. After the party, we’ll spend a few days at the Great Ocean Road for visiting the Twelve Apostles.
Burton: That’s great! I like the Twelve Apostles most. Ah…. Maybe you guys can spend some time with my family in Canberra afterwards.

Stephen: I’m afraid we can’t because we need to fly to Sydney right after the trip in Melbourne.
Burton: For what?
Stephen: We’ve booked two tickets for the Beauty and the Beast showing in the Opera House.
Burton: Wow, Beauty and the Beast is the best musical I have ever watched. I bet you’ll love it.
Stephen: Actually, it’s my second time for the show. Last time, I watched it in Brisbane.

Burton: By the way, will you fly to Brisbane this time?
Stephen: Yes, we’ll go to the Gold Coast for surfing and visit my cousin as usual.
Burton: Okay, perhaps I can see you guys in Brisbane, since my family and I will go to Cairns for the Christmas holiday. Maybe I can just fly over to Brisbane.

Stephen: What a coincidence! We plan to spend three days in Cairns because Daddy loves diving at the Great Barrier Reef.
Burton: When will you arrive at Cairns then?
Stephen: On Christmas Day.
Burton: Which hotel are you going to stay at?
Stephen: The MasonHotel.
Burton: Okay, I know where it is. Then I’ll give you a ring on that evening before I come.

Stephen: Fine, actually you can call my mobile since we may go out for shopping. We need to buy some souvenirs before we set off for AliceSpring.
Burton: AliceSpring?
Stephen: Yes, as you know Dad loves photography. He overjoyed last time when he first saw the Ayers Rock changing its color at different times of the day.

Burton: How about you, my nature lover? I guess you’ll fly to Perth also for the Wave Rock.
Stephen: Of course, it’s the most amazing rock formation I have ever seen. Anyway, I need to go to Perth, as you know there is no direct flight from AliceSpring to Hong Kong.
