2014 SUMMER SCIENCE CAMP

If you are entering 6th grade in the fall and are looking for something fun and exciting to do this summer we invite you to register for our annual summer science camp.

When: June 16-20, 2013 9:30 AM – 12 Noon Each Day

Cost: Free of charge

Science camp participants will enjoy a week of:

·  Exploring numerous sciences, including Geology, Ecology, Physics, Astronomy, and Chemistry.

·  Hands-on experiments under the supervision of trained, licensed teachers.

·  Learning how to keep a lab notebook.

How to Register:

Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served, basis until our 30 participant maximum has been reached. To register for this event parents should contact Cherissa Carrico, Human Resources at Carus Corporation, starting 8 May. You may contact Cherissa Carrico at 815-224-6638.

Please note:

·  Parents must sign a permission slip and insurance waiver to complete registration.

·  Parents are responsible for the transportation of their children to and from camp and will be asked to supply some common household items for experiments.

·  Students are expected to attend camp each of all 5 days during the camp.

The science camp will be taught by accredited teachers from the Illinois Valley and directed by Don Loebach, junior high science teacher at Peru Catholic School. They are working in fellowship with Carus Corporation’s SWEPT (Scientific Work Experience Program for Teachers).
