JOB TITLE: Regional Fundraising Manager

DEPARTMENT: Community Events

REPORTS TO: Community Fundraising Manager

Core Purpose:

To manage, recruit and retain supporters and volunteers to maximise income and awareness of Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK in local communities.

Responsibilities:

·  Devise, implement and monitor a regional strategy to ensure the agreed regional budget is achieved. Monitor income variances and implement solutions to rectify them

·  Recruit and develop supporters to maximise income and build lasting relationships for Make-A-Wish

·  Recruit, manage and develop fundraising groups ensuring they receive appropriate communication and support and highlight areas for new groups

·  Keep volunteers and the local community engaged with Make-A-Wish work in their communities

·  Proactively develop fundraising opportunities across a broad range of target markets including; small corporates, community groups, individuals and schools

·  Manage relationships with small corporates in your region and work closely with the corporate team on any large organisations we can develop

·  Work closely with the Volunteering Manager in order to recruit, manage and develop volunteers

·  Work effectively with all departments across the organisation to maximise opportunities and help achieve the wider organisational goals

·  Ensure that all funds raised within the region are managed in line with Make-A-Wish procedures

·  Utilise local press and social media to increase awareness

Person Attributes:

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

·  Proven experience of Community Fundraising with at least two years’ experience

·  Proven ability to meet income targets

·  Proven ability to plan, develop and achieve results from new ideas

·  Confident public speaker

·  Effective networking skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people

·  Proven experience of recruiting volunteers

·  Proven experience of retaining supporters

·  Excellent IT Skills

Leadership and Management

·  At least two years’ experience of managing volunteers

·  At least two years’ experience of managing fundraising groups

Personal Qualities

·  Flexibility to be available to work evening and weekends

·  Be proactive

·  Ability to represent Make-A-Wish professionally at all times

·  Hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle

·  Attention to detail

·  Have a personal commitment to and understanding of equal opportunities
