Burwood Public School-Temporary Teacher Position 2017

A number of temporary K-6 teacher positions exist at Burwood Pubic School for 2017. Expressions of Interest are sought from suitable, qualified teachers. Grades are yet to be determined.

POSITION INFORMATION

Burwood Public School serves a diverse multicultural community and has a growing enrolment of 630 students, with 96% coming from non-English speaking backgrounds.

There is a whole school focus on developing creative and critical thinking, authentic communication and formative assessment across the Key Learning Areas. The school is supported by Reading Recovery and is implementing the Literacy, Language and Learning Program (L3).

POSITION CRITERIA

1. Ability to cater for student learning needs through the effective use of data, formative assessment and innovative pedagogy.

2. Demonstrated capacity to cater for the language needs of high achieving EAL/D students in mainstream classes.

3. Demonstrated evidence and commitment to enhancing extra-curricular programs across the school.

APPLICATIONS

Applicants must also complete and attached the 'Expression of Interest - Cover Sheet with relevant details. An interview may be conducted as part of the process.
