2) All the Office Bearers and Council Members of the Institution will be elected by postal ballot, by an electoral college consisting of all the Corporate Members (Fellow & Member) of the institution on roll, as on 31st March 2017.
3) The term of all Office Bearers and Council Members of the institution will be 2 (Two) years.
4) No office bearer can hold the same office for more than two consecutive terms
5) A candidate can seek election for only one position at a time.
6) Eligibility criteria for contesting for the posts of President, Sr. Vice Presidents, Secretary General and Treasurer are given on the reverse of the page.

Nomination may be sent to Er.M.Velu, Presiding Election Officer, IITArb., No.36/3, Santhosh Garden, Church Road, Mogappiar (East), Chennai – 600 037 by speed post / courier so that it reaches him on or before 31st May, 2017, 5.00 p.m. The nominations received beyond this time will not be accepted. Personal delivery of ballot paper will not be entertained.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIFFERENT POSITIONS
AS PER CLAUSE 8.4 OF BYE LAWS AS AMENDED IN 2015
1) For the position of President:
i) Fellow Member with minimum of 5 years standing in the roll of the Institution
ii) He should have held any one of the offices of Senior Vice President or Hon. Secretary General or Chairman of State Centre / Local Centre or Council Member
2) For the position of Senior Vice Presidents:
i) Fellow Member with minimum of 5 years standing in the roll of the Institution
ii) He should have held any one of the offices of Hon. Secretary General or Chairman of State Centre / Local Centre or Council Member
3) For the position of Secretary General:
i) Fellow Member with minimum of 5 years standing in the roll of the Institution
ii) He should have held any one of the offices of Hon. Jt. Secretary General or Hon. Treasurer or Chairman of State Centre / Local Centre or Council Member
4) For the position of Hon. Jt. Secretary General & Hon. Treasurer:
i) Fellow / Member with minimum of 3 years standing in the roll of the Institution
5) For the position of Council Members:
