Dear Sisters in Christ,
The Fifth Annual Interfaith Women’s Retreat was success. 21 ladies laughed, cried and prayed together at Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center. We enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, hiking, miniature golfing, swimming in the indoor pool, enjoying Susan Perez’s awesome homemade salsa and wonderful Bible studies facilitated by Josie LeMaster and Doris Shrauger. We even “Prayed Pregnant” Katie Wood, congratulations Katie!
Your retreat committee is Susan Adams, Margie Lambert and Sue Davis. We have already been working on the 2015 retreat, and Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center has been booked once again. We pray the Retreat will be a blessing and encouragement to you and encourage you to invite a friend for our Fifth Annual Interfaith Women’s Retreat in 2015. The Retreat is non-denominational and open to all ladies 18 and older who desire a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and cultivating friendships with fellow Sisters-in-Christ.
The Sixth Annual Interfaith Women’s Retreat will be held September 25-27, 2015 at Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center, north of Divide, CO, 45 minutes from Colorado Springs. The cost will be $142.00 for our 2 night/5 meal stay. You may rent all needed linens for $5.00. Or, you can bring your own linens and towels, or a sleeping bag, pillowcase & towels (blankets & pillows are provided). There is one queen bed and two bunk beds per room with a bathroom in each room. Price is based on a minimum of three guests per room (using the bed and bottom bunks).
Golden Bell is planning to add an elevator so all of our rooms will be on the same level we have requested the 2nd floor, if the elevator is not finished the retreat committee will request a few rooms on the lower level. . The only reason to leave the main building would be if you want to do one of the many activities that are offered by Golden Bell.
Check out www.goldenbellccc.org to preview all the potential activities you may want to participate in. There is an indoor heated pool, full gym, archery, fishing, horseshoes and much more. There are many “staffed” activities, which require a minimum number of people and are available for an additional fee. Let the committee know if you are interested and we’ll get someone to coordinate it (note: it could be you!) Last year, Cathy Schaffer organized a bunch of ladies to do the zipline, but the zipline was unavailable due to upgrades being done on it to keep it safe. She has threatened to get ladies up on an even higher and longer zipline this year! If you are interested, please let us know and we will have Cathy contact you. There is also horseback riding available, but, again, it needs to be reserved with a minimum number of people.

We will be updating our Retreat scrapbook. If you have pictures of Retreat 2014 you would like to share for possible use in the retreat scrapbook, please mail or email them to Sue Davis. We will be working on the scrapbook in this summer, so please send them soon.
We will not have a formal “project” this year – we have had numerous requests for the “relax!” option again this year. We will have jigsaw puzzles available, there are other games in our meeting room and you are always welcome to bring your own personal project to work on! Ladies quilt, embroider and sew while chatting and fellowshipping. Ladies love the short Bible studies we have done in years past, so we will be doing it again this year. Josie LeMaster has promised Part 2 of her Bible study last year, we may need to be reminded of Part 1. Rosanna Knight-Parker has volunteered to do a second Bible study.
