Treasurer’s Report:

$3776.32 as of Feb. 28, 2017.

Old Business:

J. Rudmin read aloud the minutes from Jan 17, 2017.

Advertising and community announcements of the Mountain Valley Half Marathon (MVHM) have been put into the Waynesboro Y-Magazine, the Daily News Record, WSVA radio, and in Runner Journal.

R. Ruozzi will get prizes and wine for the MVHM. J. Rudmin will bring bananas, and will email invitations to 10 Miler and MVHM participants in 2015 and 2016. Corrinne Makarewich previously promised to bring bagels, bottled water, cream cheese, and peanut butter. J. Campbell will phone the Keezletown Ruritan club to get permission to use their location. M. Guinn noted that the display clock is broken, and should be repaired. It does not show hours.

Summer track meets are posted on the SVTC website www.valleytrack.org. M. Guinn will have a porta john near the finish.

R. Ruozzi says that it seems that the SVTC is getting fewer requests to time races. Chip timing is $3 or $4 per runner. M. Betts has expressed his desire to keep hosting races at Grand Caverns for the foreseeable future.

New Business:

The SVTC will donate $50 to the Keezletown Ruritan club. R. Ruozzi will ask Butch Proctor if he can man the course by bicycle. R. Ruozzi will ask Jim Fye and John Welsh if they can man water stops. R. Ruozzi will get insurance certificates for the MVHM and summer meets from the RRCA by filling out their online form.

D. Chirinos suggested ordering Nike dry fit singlets for the SVTC from Running Warehouse for $28 each. Printing costs $40 setup plus $6 per shirt for one color or $8.40 for two color. Minimum order is 12. The singlet is white with a Nike logo and colored sides, or full color. Other brands include $15 for Asics and New Balance. M. Guinn said that Jeff Guinn at the Market can offer better prices, and suggested that D. Chirinos do more research.

M. Guinn suggested moving the MVHM to Grottoes. J. Rudmin suggested partnering with a large local civic organization.
