3.1 ProJet® 5000-series control
· Visijet® M5-X - Introducing Visijet® M5-X prints material on the ProJet® 5000.
· VisiJet® M5 Black- Introducing Visijet® M5 Black print material on the ProJet® 5000.
· EZ Flush -The new control code will support the new EZ Flush material for the changeback from Black materials on ProJet® 35XX and ProJet® 5000 printers.
· Purge via Windows App – The new control code allows users to purge their print heads by using the Windows App. This is beneficial for recovering jets or performing the new purge procedure during changeover of materials.
3.1.1 Print3D Windows App for 5000
· Print Head Maintenance Position- Users are able to enter the printer into the “Print Head Maintenance Position” via the Print3D Windows App.
· Print Head Purge- the Print3D Windows app supports the print head purge button, which can be used for jet recovery or material changeover. Please review proper documentation before pursuing the material changeover procedure.
· Purging the Print- Before the user is allowed to purge the print head, the user must press the “Print Head Maintenance Position” button. After the print head and platform are within the “Print Head Maintenance” position, the user will be able to open the chamber down and place a pan or aluminum trey under the print head. Once the user has pressed the “Print Head Purge” button, the initial print head umbilical melt timer counts down from 300 seconds. Once the melt timer is satisfied, the print will perform one purge immediately after.
Users may install the Print3D app by going to the following link on your computer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\3D Systems\3D Modeling Accelerator\Bin
Or
C:\Program Files\3D Systems\3D Modeling Accelerator\Bin
3.2 Known Issues ProJet® 3XX0 and ProJet® 5000 control
· Servo Interrupt Error- With this software ProJet® 3000-series printers will potentially exhibit a random “Servo Interrupt Error”. This was the case in the previous ProJet® 3000-series software release. This is a top priority bug that we intend to remedy in the next release of software.
· Test Print Increment- When running consecutive “Test Prints”, the intended behavior of the system is for the printer to increment those test prints for comparison purposes. Currently the software does not behave in this manner and will just reprint the next Test Print right on top of the previous if it has not been removed from the print platform.
· Cannot Detect Tag- There is a known bug that occurs whenever a bottle is depleted. The system will notify user “Cannot Detect Tag in MDM#” if a bottle has become empty during a build.
· Build Estimator- There currently is an open issue for the build estimator. The software team is working to resolve this.
3.3 Known Issues ProJet® Accelerator 5.4.4359 3XX0
· Administrator Right to add Printer- Users are required to run ProJet® Accelerator software with full control permissions. The fix would be to right click the 3D Client Manager icon, or short cut, and select “Run As Administrator”. Users may also change the folder permissions giving the user full control access to the 3D Systems folder in the “Program Files” folder.
· For 32 bit- c:\program files(x86)\3DSystems
· For 64 bit- c:\program files\3DSystems
