TRANSITIONAL MATTERS — 1997 REGULAR ELECTION FOR THE CITY OF TORONTO

This Regulation is made in English only.

1.This Regulation applies to the 1997 regular election in the urban area as defined in section 1 of the City of Toronto Act, 1997. O.Reg. 338/97, s.1.

2.Notices, forms (other than prescribed forms) and other information provided under the Act may be in the following languages:

3.Optical scanning vote tabulators may be used only in the geographic area of the Borough of East York, the City of Etobicoke, the City of North York, the City of Scarborough and the City of York. O.Reg. 338/97, s.3.

4.Advance votes shall be held on the following dates and during the following hours:

1. Monday, October 27, 1997 to Friday, October 31, 1997, inclusive, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m each day.

2. Saturday, November 1, 1997, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.

3. Wednesday, November 5, 1997, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. O.Reg. 338/97, s.4.

5.The voting places described in Column 1 of the Schedule shall be open for voting on Monday, November 10, 1997 during the hours set out in Column 2 of the Schedule. O.Reg. 338/97, s.5.
