Course Schedule

The following schedule is listed to show the due dates of the quizzes and tests. This is a reminder, which is printed in the course syllabus: Tests or Quizzes not taken by the deadline will receive a "ZERO".There will be no makeup tests unless you have PREARRANGED this with me prior to the test deadline. The dates on this schedule are tentative and change from semester to semester. Additionally the holidays President’s day and Spring break disrupt the schedule and always results in a change of some of these dates.

Web Review / March 15th, 2 online quizzes due
Lab 1, With a lab partner watch the instructor demonstrate positions for the cervical spine and then simulate these exams on each other. Expose the 3M chest phantom in an AP, both posterior obliques, and x-table lateral. Label the appropriate anatomy. Review radiographs for technical excellence, label anatomy, and pass off simulations with course instructor prior to leaving lab. / Week of February 20th
Lab 2, With a lab partner watch the instructor demonstrate positions for the thoracic spine and then simulate these exams on each other. Expose the 3M chest phantom in an AP and lateral. Use a breathing technique for the lateral to get the feel and sound of the exposure. Refer to lab handouts for techniques. Review radiographs for technical excellence, label anatomy, and pass off simulations with course instructor prior to leaving lab. / Week of February 27th
Lab 3, With a lab partner watch the instructor demonstrate positions for the following special projections: Lateral flexion and extension, AP Fuchs, PA Judd, AP “wagging jaw”, AP axial pillars. Simulate these projections on each other. Expose the 3M chest phantom in the via the pillars method. Review radiographs for technical excellence, label anatomy, and pass off simulations with course instructor prior to leaving lab. / Week of March 12th
