Bloom Ball 12 “circles” – YOU NEED TO DO EACH OF THE FOLLOWING 12 TASKS!

Circle 1 --

Colorfully write the name author of your book. Please put your name too.

Circle 2 --

Draw a picture of the setting or one of the settings of your story. Write 2-3 sentences telling me about the setting.

Circle 3 --

List 5 unique or unusual words that the author used in this book. Also, include YOUR OWN definition for each of these 5 words. Each of the words will have 2 definitions 1. The dictionary 2. In your own words

Circle 4 --

List 3 problems faced by your main character. USE COMPLETE SENTENCES! These are the conflicts the protagonist faces. I

Circle 5 --

Write a poem about the story. The poem can by rhyming, haiku, acrostic poem, a “shape” poem, etc… Your choice; it just needs to be well-written.

Circle 6 --

Write a paragraph (8-10 sentences) giving your opinion of this book. Tell why you would or wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. Use information from the book you liked or didn’t like in your recommendation. Also, rate the book using the 5-star scale: 1-worse; 5-best.

Circle 7 --

Draw a picture of the most exciting, funniest, or saddest event of your book. Explain your drawing in 1-2sentences. Also, include the page number from the book where the event takes place.

Circle 8 --

Describe the main character in your book. Choose 2 character traits (emotion words) that describe the main character. Write two 4 or 5 sentence paragraphs, using examples from your book to prove this trait.

Circle 9 --

Using complete sentences, write five fun facts about the author of the book.

Circle 10 --

In one paragraph (8-10 sentences) write a different ending to the story. Your new ending can be a continuation that starts where your book ends, or it could be a new ending starting from somewhere else in the book.

Circle 11 --

Write a summary of the book. Using complete sentences, list 10 key events from your book. Include the page number from the book for each of your key events.

Circle 12 --

Write a paragraph (6-8 sentences) connecting the book to your life. YOU MUST MAKE SOME TYPE OF CONNECTION. Do not begin your paragraph with: “This reminds me of…” This doesn’t have to be a plot point. It can be a characteristic of someone or a decision/reaction of a character.
