Reading Lab Syllabus

Course Overview

Reading lab is designed for students who are needing extra help with reading skills. Comprehension, vocabulary, reading stamina, and reading strategies are the main focus of the class. Students will be expected to read independently, discuss reading with the teacher, and listen to stories and essays read by the teacher. The structure of the class is laid back; this means that the students may work at their own pace or not all be working on the same thing as everyone else. The goal is for students to improve their reading skills from the previous school year. Students are able to ask questions and receive one-on-one instruction from the teacher.
