All persons baptized with water & the Spirit in the Name of the Trinity are invited to receive the Eucharist. Those who wish to only receive a blessing may cross their arms. It is perfectly acceptable to receive the Eucharist in only one kind (i.e. the Host), and then decline the chalice, crossing your arms.

Sunday, October 4th ~ we celebrate St. Francis & the Blessing of Animals, stuffed or otherwise. Polite animals are blessed inside, during the service. More exuberant folk are blessed outdoors, afterwards. If you have pets who have died that you would like remembered in prayer, list them in the parish hall.
Thursday, October 8th – Sunday, October 11th ~ Diocesan Convention @ St. Mary’s Church, Anchorage ~ St. Matthew’s delegates are Fr. Scott, Laura Bender, Julia Cockerille, & Mary Margaret Davis. Information posted in parish hall. If you have concerns or thoughts about the church for the Convention, contact our Delegates or Vestry members.
PFDs – Our Alaska Permanent Fund Checks will be arriving soon in the amount of $1,305. (10% = $130.50) Our Tithing Tree/Fill-In’ Station in the parish hall is again waiting for signers. Join us keeping St. Matthew’s running.
