Dear Parent:
Plainview ISD is committed to using technology to help our students and serve our community. It's in that spirit that we announce a change in registration procedures. Starting in mid-July, if your student is in one of the groups below you may complete the registration process completely online. This means that once you complete the online registration you will not be required to come to the school on registration day.
This option for completing registration online is available for the students in the following situations...
- Your student is attending the same school they attended last year, or
- Your student is going into 6th grade and will be attending the assigned middle school, or
- Your student is going into 9th grade and is going to the high school
The completely online registration option is only available to students in the situations above. Students new to Plainview or elementary students that are changing schools due to changing school zones will still be required to go to the school on registration day.
There will still be a few pages that we will need filled out and returned to the school as the school year starts. However, we will be making those available through several ways and you will have several options for returning them.
It is important that you complete the online registration before August 7. Only by fully completing the online registration will your student's place at the school be assured.

El distrito escolar de Plainview está comprometido a utilizar tecnología para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes y servir a nuestra comunidad. Es con ese espíritu que queremos comunicarle de un cambio en el proceso de inscripción. A mediados de julio del año en curso, si su estudiante está en uno de los grupos mencionados a continuación, usted puede inscribir a su estudiante completamente por internet. Esto significa que una vez que usted lo inscribió por internet, no será necesario que se presente en la escuela de su estudiante el día de las inscripciones.
La inscripción por internet solamente está disponible para aquellos estudiantes en las siguientes situaciones:
- Su estudiante estará asistiendo a la misma escuela que asistió el año pasado, o
- Su estudiante estará cursando el 6° año y atenderá la secundaria que se le asignó, o
- Su estudiante estará cursando el 9° año y atenderá la preparatoria
La opción para inscribir a su estudiante completamente por internet es solamente para los estudiantes que estén en las situaciones que se acaban de mencionar anteriormente. Para los estudiantes que son nuevos en Plainview o que están cursando la primaria y cambiarán de escuela debido a un cambio de zona, tendrán que ir a la escuela el día de las inscripciones.
Habrá algunos formularios pendientes que se tendrán que llenar al principio del año escolar. Se los haremos llegar para que los complete y los regrese a la escuela. Los tendremos disponibles en varias formas y de igual manera le daremos varias opciones para que nos los regrese.
Es muy importante que usted complete la inscripción por internet antes del 7 de agosto. Solamente completando la inscripción por internet le asegurará un lugar en la escuela a su estudiante.
Todavía estamos trabajando para hacer del proceso de inscripción por internet una experiencia fácil y rápida. También, le mandaremos mensajes de texto o mensajes de correo electrónico así que este al pendiente.
