JOB PURPOSE- Reporting to the Corporate Services Director,this post is responsible for delivering support to staff and clients and providing them with highly effective services in the following areas: IT, marketing and communication, labour market information and management information.
- A member of the Senior Leadership Team. This post provides leadership to the support services team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the line management and development of the Support Services Team to ensure that their activities are coordinated and delivered to the required service levels.
Develop a culture within the team of excellent support services driven by the needs of clients and staff. Ensure continuous improvement and encourage innovation within the team.
Ensure all members of Support Services staff are aware of the organisation’s targets and Business Plan objectives and their personal contribution to them.
Actively promote change within the organisation ensuring that Support Services staff understand the vision and values of Adviza and reflect these in all aspects of their work. Promote a culture of personal responsibility and accountability and encourage problem solving to overcome barriers.
Work with colleaguesto contribute to the annual Business Plan that meets the priorities and the requirements of Adviza.
Prepare documents for SLT, committees, boards, third parties and contractors, and attend board and committee meetings as required.
Lead on corporate communications and produce an annual marketing plan for Adviza which includes a focus on the charity’s commercial services.
Ensure the organisation has the appropriate internal communication systems in place to successfully engage with staff and trustees.
Lead on the development of the organisation’s digital presence and digital communication routes.
Lead on the use of new technology to support the organisation’s work with clients and customers.
Responsible for ensuring that IT performance supports frontline staff and maximises the potential of IT to manage time effectively and efficiently.
Develop the use of technology to help deliver more cost effective use of our front-line services.
Oversee the work of the MI Manager to ensure Adviza is providing excellent Management Information and required reports to commissioners and the Adviza leadership team.
Oversee the work of the LMI Coordinator to ensure the organisation is researching, presenting and communicating information on the national and local Labour Markets to assist staff and clients.
Contract manage several of the organisation’s key suppliers including the IT Support Company and Marketing Agency.

KEY CRITERIA / ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / A creative and strategic thinker who is able to deliver sustainable change and to identify innovative solutions to barriers.
Experience of and up to date knowledge of digital communications and marketing strategies. To include web design, social media, search engine optimisation and data- driven digital marketing.
Experience of management either in the public or private sector
Evidence of negotiating contracts
An understanding of organisational IT systems and an interest in new technology
Evidence of a genuine commitment to the development of staff
Experience of public funding and the organisational demands it creates
Experience of planning and monitoring outcomes
Experience of project management / Educated to degree level or equivalent
Management qualification or relevant professional qualifications.
Experience of working with schools and colleges and senior educationalists.
Experience of budgeting and financial planning and management
