Services Offered:
1. Send your horse down south for training! Where would your horse rather winter? Snowy freezing New England, or sunny warm South Carolina? Alison will meet with you personally to discuss your riding and training goals for your horse. Whether you just want a more enjoyable ride, or a competition horse, Alison can design a training program to meet your needs. Alison competes most weekends, so there are ample opportunities for your horse to get show experience or move up the levels and be ready for your spring season! After being ridden, your horse will relax in a large turn out field, have a nap in the warm afternoon sun, and play around with a group of appropriately matched play mates. We also have individual turn-outs if you horse would rather be alone.
2. Lessons: Alison has over 30 years of teaching experience from the beginner to Preliminary level. Her lessons are individualized to meet your riding goals. She is patient and very understanding of the nervous adult amateur rider. However, if competition is your goal, she will train you to be a competitive and prepared rider who will be ready to win at the local sanctioned events. She will help you at events by walking courses with you and assisting during warm ups.
3. Two Phases. Apple Tree Farm has a very successful 2-phase series. Our dressage judges are experienced and offer valuable feedback to improve your tests. Our stadium field is large and our courses are very level appropriate. We can accommodate divisions from Starter to Intermediate . For more information, dates, and entries see our Aiken 2-Phase Page.
4. Winter Eventing Programs Apple Tree offers two week long programs. The programs are an intense week of riding. We will do dressage lessons, pace work, stadium jumping, XC schooling, and usually a Derby Cross or a 2-phase competition. There also may be opportunities to compete at a sanctioned event. The February week is during the NH school vacation week and welcomes kids and adults who are able to ride confidently outside the ring. The march week is geared for our adult riders. Bring your own horse or lease a horse! A great way to gear up for spring showing!
