Criftins Tennis Club - Use of Facilities

Welcome to our tennis club. Please see below for all relevant information.

·  Subscriptions as outlined in the annual letter to members are to be paid by April 1st.

·  On the payment of subscriptions all members will be issued with a shoe tag as proof of their membership. This tag should be clearly displayed when on the courts.

·  Members can play on the courts at any time except when there are SLTA League matches, organized competitions, coaching and team practices are taking place. Juniors and Weekday Seniors can play up to 6.30. Details of all these will be displayed on the club notice board.

·  Club nights are every Wednesday evening from early April(after the soup supper evening) from 7pm. All members are welcome. All members are expected to be reasonable and restrict their play to 7 games if there are others waiting to play.

·  Visitors are welcome to play up to 6 times providing this does not hinder other members from playing. A fee of £2 for adults and £1 for juniors is charged and is to be given to a committee member. Also they are to sign a book which is kept in the club house.

·  The courts are kept locked. The key for the padlocks for the two gates will be changed in two stages annually in April. Members are expected to return their old key in exchange for a new one on the payment of their subscription. New members will be issued with a new key. In the event of a loss members will have to pay for a replacement key.

·  The club house is kept locked and will generally only be used when matches, competitions and coaching and club nights are taking place. All committee members, team captains, junior team organisers, and coaches will be issued with a key which should be returned on giving up their responsibility.

·  The floodlights are available for general use when the Parish Hall is open. The switch is situated in the corner of the room leading to the disabled toilet. Floodlights are to be turned off no later than 10.30pm.

·  Proper tennis shoes (non-marking sole) should be worn when playing on the courts.

·  Nets should be lowered, courts and club house locked, all litter to be removed and floodlights turned off when play finishes.
