TCOPA Award Nominations Procedure
The 2016 Texas Citizen on Patrol Annual Conference in Grand Prairie, Texas will be honoring those people who have made unselfish contributions to the concept of the Citizen on Patrol Police at the Awards Banquet. Please tell us who you feel has truly contributed to further the Academy and Alumni spirit and idea by completing the enclosed nomination forms and mailing them to the address below. We need your nominations for the following:
Thomas Windham
COP Member of the Year 2016
This award is in honor of the Chief of Police who brought and held the first Citizen on Patrol to Texas. This award will be presented to the Texas Citizen on Patrol Academy Member deemed to have contributed most to the success of the COP program for 2015-2016.
Small COP Organization (less than 50,000 population) 2016
This award will be presented to the COP Organization with a population less than 25,000 considered to have advanced and used new programs to enhance the citizen-police partnership by either actions or deeds during 2015-2016.
Large COP Organization (over 50,000 population) 2016
This award will be presented to the COP Organization with a population more than 25,000 considered to have advanced and used new programs to enhance the citizen-police partnership by either actions or deeds during 2015-2016.
Coordinator of the Year For 2016
(Sworn or Civilian)
The award will be presented to the Coordinator deemed to have contributed the most to the development of the COP program during 2015-2016.
Rules
1. Entries must be on an official nomination form.
2. No more than five (5) additional supplement pages.
3. The nomination form may be reproduced.
4. No individual may nominate himself/herself for any award.
5. Please, Only 1 nomination form for each person or organization nominated.
