General Meeting Minutes of Lake Amateur Radio Association JUNE 20, 2015

Meeting was called to order by President N4KXO at 10:00 AM

Club recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Introduction of members and guests:

Monthly Service Honor Roll: Our yard birds - Carl K8BBT - Jeff (KK4NPO)

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS: 1st Reading, Betty Nelson KM4JKE. 2nd reading, John Randall K4CYA, Woody Wilson, N5XCX, Anne Keller, KM4VBH. All 2nd readings were voted in.

TREASURER’S REPORT was posted on the wall. Motion submitted for acceptance of the report, seconded. The report was accepted. The following balances were reported for May 31, 2015. Sun Trust checking $3,671.83; Sun Trust Savings $2,000.95; SK Fund; $705.14 Investment Account $17,258.71

SECRETARY’S REPORT was posted on the wall and will be posted on the K4FC.org web site; Motion submitted for acceptance of the report, seconded. The report was accepted.

ENGINEERS REPORT: NF2F- Everything is working. Packet at Buckhill was inadvertently turned off, but now is back in service.

ARES: W4ALR- Net is on 147.390 until further notice. The net operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to join us. Other neighboring counties also have nets which you are welcome to check in with them.

TAILGATE REPORT: Frank (KK4MBX) will chair the event Saturday November 7, 2015.

QCWA: Is using 147.000. A lot of their members use Echolink to check into the QCWA net. Tuesday at 7:30 PM

SK COMMITTEE: Status - WN4AMO reported that everything is going well and in a waiting mode for more equipment to be available.

FIELD DAY: Steve (KT4Q) Load antennas onto the antennas trailer today which was accomplished.

June 21st-tomorrow, is KIDS DAY. Kids Day is designed to give on the air experience to young people and hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own.

June 20 & 21 - Ukrainian DX classic RTTY contest
June 20 - West Virginia QSO party

OLD BUSINESS: The Royal Harbor DSTAR net is held every Monday at 8:00 PM. All are welcome to join the net.

The SARnet Orange City repeater remains off the air.

Still resolving firmware issues with the Paisley DMR site.

The LARA Monthly Lunch is set for the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11:30AM in the meeting room of the Golden Corral Highway 441, Eustis, 12 were present at the last lunch.

The console work is ongoing. Please do not just leave things on the consoles that don't belong there.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Royal Harbor UHF repeater will be reinstalled soon and there is a change in frequency. New frequency will be 442.800+ PL 103.5

The VE testing has been moved back to 8:00 AM

WA2UPK is now on the VE testing team.

SUNSHINE REPORT: Mike (W8EHH), Paul WN4AMo reported on Mike’s condition.

Herb (KF4WW).Strait KT4YA reported on Herb’s condition.

ELMER SESSION – KK4VFO inquired about repeater frequencies.

Does anyone have anything for the good of the order?

KT4YA asked for some help for about an hour or so to re-hab an antenna for W4KQS, a blind ham, several members volunteered.
