GOLF TOURNAMENT RULES

July 29th 2016

12:00 SHOTGUN START

4-MAN SCRAMBLE:

* On every hole, each member of the team may hit a tee shot. The team then selects one of the tee shots from which to play. All members of the team may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed out.

* Each team member may play his/her ball within one club length of the selected shot, no nearer to the hole. If the shot selected is played from a hazard, bunker, rough (intermediate or regular), fairway or fringe of the green, the ball must be played from within one (1) club length of the shot selected, no nearer the hold, and must remain in the hazard, bunker, rough (intermediate or regular) fairway, or fringe of the green. The ball may be placed by each team member from fairway, rough, sand or hazard.

USGA RULES:

The USGA Rules of Golf will govern all competition, except for local rules of play and those regarding the scramble format.

PLAY:

Play by Foresomes only

Any discrepancies will be acted upon by the Tournament Committee.

If there are ties in the score, we will match cards starting on the 18th hole and go backwards until there is a winner.

All MEN will play from the WHITE tees.

All WOMEN will play from the RED tees.

All SENIORS wil play from the YELLOW tees. (Age of 65 and older with an established club handicap.)

All OTHER PLAYERS will play from the WHITE tees.

Hole #3 Ladies hit from WHITE tees to be eligible for Hole-In-One prize (optional).

PLEASE OBEY THE 90° CART RULE AND ALL THE COURSE RULES.

SCORE CARDS MUST BE TURNED IN 15 MINUTES AFTER COMPLETION!

RAIN CANCELLATION : In Case of Rain

If every team has completed 9 holes and rain cancellation is required, the 9 hole score at that point will be used to determine winner regardless of what holes teams have played. In case of ties, a flip of the coin will be used.

If complete rain cancellation, team names will be placed in a hat and select as winners in each flight.

WINNINGS

Place Winnings: The teams playing will be divided into 3 flights depending on the total handicaps. Each flight will pay 3 places – Gift Certificate from the North Country Golf Club. The amount will be determined by number of teams participating.

Skins Game: Skins games will be played within each flight - $20.00 per team. The winning amount will be determined by the amount of money collected in each flight.
