SFS Fringe Account Code Changes

Account codes for social security, medicare, health and life insurance expenses have been consolidated for all employee classes (classified permanent, LTE and unclassified). For example one account code will be used for social security regardless of employee classes. The same is true for medicare, health care and life insurance. All salary payments are now using new account codes. The old account codes are used only for transfer of salary paid before fiscal year 2011 and they will be gradually phased out.

1973 / Medicare – Student. Use account code 1910.
1921 / 1905 / Group Health – Academic. Use account code 1921.

1933 / Group Health – Post Doc. Use account code 1921.
