Bulletin 2 and Entry Form dated September 10, 2004

To promote the development of orienteering in the Asian Cities, the Orienteering Association of Hong Kong presents the first Asian Cities Orienteering Championships in December 2004 in Hong Kong. With the experience of organizing the APOC 1986, the World Cup 1988 and the APOC 1996, we can promise you with a series of challenging and exciting competitions in our country sides and enjoyment of the new Hong Kong city for all orienteers and visitors. Our exposure in international competitions and fast growth development of orienteering in Hong Kong provide us a good experience to share with you the keys to success and the challenges in development and promotion of orienteering.

The Asian Cities Orienteering Championships 2004 is the first competition held by Hong Kong for Asian countries. The program consists of three competitions: Sprint O, Classic event and a Relay competition. In conjunction with the Championships, there will also two forums for those who are interested in the development of orienteering and Trail Orienteering. These will be held within this period to share the experience and exploring opportunities in helping orienteering development in Asian countries and providing experience sharing and training for Trail Orienteering.

After the competitions in Hong Kong, this will also be an excellent opportunity for all orienteers and visitors to explore the nearby cities and perhaps a try of orienteering across the border at the Southern part of the People Republic of China.

We look forward to welcoming friends of orienteering in this winter to the friendly city of Hong Kong.

The ACOC2004 will be a revolutionary for Asian federations and their orienteers. Together with you will definitely make this event a memorable experience to all participants.

Heartily welcome and see you all in Hong Kong!
