Supplies
For this class you will need the following supplies:
Blue or Black Pen (only – no other colors accepted)
No. 2 Pencil
1 box of tissues or 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
Calculator
**Extra credit will be given for students that bring in any of the following to donate to the classroom:
extra tissues/hand sanitizer, white copy paper, and/or colored paper
Absences and Make-Up Work
If a student is absent, he or she must get make-up work BEFORE or AFTER class ONLY. It is inappropriate to come to the regularly schedule class period after missing and ask the teacher for work. When a student misses class time, he or she must make up that class time before or after school. Students will not disrupt the learning environment because of an absence. Also note: If a student is absent the day an assignment is due, the student must turn in the assignment when he or she returns to class to receive full credit.
Late Work
Assignments and tests must be completed and turned in on the assigned date in order to receivefull credit unless the student has been absent. Late work will be penalized in accordance with Humble ISD policy.
Basic Classroom Procedures
Entering the class: Each student will initial in the appropriate box corresponding to their name and the current date. After attending to attendance, students should turn in any assignments, sit in their appropriate seat & begin the warm-up which will be on the board.
Exiting the class: The bell does not dismiss the class; I do. When the classroom is picked up and straightened, I will dismiss you. If the assignment for the day is completed early, you will remain in your seat. There will be no crowding around the doorway.
Turning in Assignments: All assignments must be placed in the appropriate box on the bookcase. No assignments should be placed on the teacher’s desk.
Restroom & Water: Any student needing to use the restroom or get water may do so at any time that there is not instruction taking place. Students must write their initials on the whiteboard & erase their initials upon returning. All students must use the closest restroom and water fountain. Anyone needing to leave the room for any other reason must obtain a written pass.
Food & Drinks: Food and drinks are allowed during class. All food and drinks must stay on the center tables and away from the computers. This is a PRIVILEGE whichmay be revoked at any time for any reason.
CellPhones
Cell phones ARE allowed during class, except during instruction, group activities, and quizzes/tests. All cell phones must be on silent or vibrate. This is a PRIVILEGE which may be revoked at any time for any reason. The following consequences will result from non-compliance:

Discipline Referral for Insubordination
Plagiarism & Cheating
