The Creeks and Cherokees lived in villages. A village is a town where people live.

The Creek and Cherokee Indians lived in houses made out of wood and mud.

What were their houses made from?

The Creeks and Cherokees planted gardens, hunted, and fished for their food.

How did the Creeks and Cherokees get food?

The Creek and Cherokee Indians ate many different kinds of food.

Men hunted animals with bows and arrows. They caught fish with hooks made from bone.

What did the men use to hunt animals?

The Creek and Cherokee Indians made their clothes and shoes out of animal fur. They wore shoes called moccasins.
