Please see the included information on illnesses. We work to prevent the spread of illnesses and infections. Several rashes are going around. Some are highly contagious. Scabies is a condition involving a pimple-like rash. There are scales and blisters. You can detect this in your child if these symptoms also include intense itching. Although the rash can look like other conditions, this intense itching can let you know your child will need checked and treated by a doctor.

Some rashes are caused by medications. If your child is taking an antibiotic, please keep an eye out for a reaction. Your child’s teacher will also let you know if any symptoms are observed or suspected so you can follow up with your child’s doctor.

We take measures at school to keep classrooms clean and to monitor children for any visible symptoms. However, we need your help in preventing the spread as much as we can. Thank you!
