Co. Louth Cross Country Championships

Martin Quinn in Command

Dunleer AC man Martin Quinn added the CountyIntermediate title to his countyNovice title won last week. Martin had a car accident going to training on Thursday last and showed no ill effects as he put on a commanding display in the Intermediate cross country in Meadowview in Drogheda on Sunday. Club mate Darren Carrie in second place led the Dunleer AC team to victory with Micheal Mulligan and Alan Macken.

The B team of Darren Kelly, Robert Kelly, Jonathan Corrigan and Barry Dyas took the bronze medals.

Belinda Breagy led home the ladies team to silver with secretary Jacqueline Matthews and Naomi O Reilly in 4th and 6th.

Tomás Cotter in the boys under 19 led home Conor Cassidy and John Bingham to make a clean sweep for the mid Louth Club, with the Club’s junior ladies again filling the major placings, with Áine Cotter 1st, Caitlin Malone 2nd and Kelly O Reilly 3rd.
